not so intelligent opines (dumb and dumberer?)

The President's gift for communication just never ceases to amaze me but when I came across this post at got Milch, I really believe he outdid himself:

During a White House interview with a group of reporters yesterday, Bush was asked whether “intelligent design,” the latest version of “creationism,” should be taught in public school science courses.

“I think part of education is to expose people to different schools of thought,” Bush said. “You’re asking me whether or not people ought to be exposed to different ideas, the answer is yes. We’ve been exposing the American people to the idea that war is inevitable and necessary – probably forever and that’s worked well.”

Not to be outdone by the lofty thoughts of the Commander-in-Chief, this creationist has a a few gems of his own to share:

However, people associated with the Christian Right are taking issue with the president.

“Let’s just be upfront about this,” said Wally Bunbark, pastor of the Church of the Bleeding Jesus in Renquist Virginia. “Creationism should not only be taught in school it should replace the theory of evolution in classroom instruction. But calling it “intelligent design” makes no sense. Again, being truthful, I love the president, but he sort of makes that an oxymoron.”
